Dental and healthcare providers can change lives in their local communities and, as many providers have experienced, on the mission field.  Because of this belief and his desire to encourage young people, Dr. Moore has established a scholarship tailored specifically for high school seniors with a strong interest in the dental or healthcare field. He, along with a board of dental and healthcare professionals, will select the five most outstanding students among those applying for this scholarship. The awards will be given on or before May 31 and will be payable to the student’s college of choice.

Five $1,000 scholarships are available to high school seniors.

High school seniors interested in dentistry, dental hygiene, or healthcare are encouraged to apply for the scholarship. Eligible students reside in Clarke, Jasper, Jones, Lauderdale, Neshoba, Newton and Wayne counties in Mississippi, as well as Choctaw County in Alabama.

A seamless application process

Applying for the scholarship is easy. Simply complete the application, upload a two-to-three-minute video, provide a letter of reference, and submit an essay.

“‘Always do your best as if you are doing it for God’ is what my children hear when they are headed to school or work. God created us to love and to serve. He has gifted each one of us with talents that can be humbly used for that purpose. In life, I believe we are at our best when we, with a servant’s heart, are helping others. The dental healthcare field is an opportunity to create, to provide healing, and to be a blessing to others while we, in turn, are blessed. Pursue your dreams, and use those talents given to you to do your best in whatever good walk of life you choose!”
